The photo of this dragonfly on my daughter’s hand was taken last summer, but I’ve always wanted to do more with it. There were many luscious colourways to choose from, but I finally settled on those big blue eyes. I started with the jewel-toned base of purest turquoise, and overlayed it with a velvety haze of green, sky blue, hints of olive and whispers of grey: Here’s the sock yarn - the nuanced semisolid would work very nicely with complex stitch patterns: The superwash merino
